The Festival, which was inspired by the Vicar, the Revd John Ratings, was first held in the summer of 1975 and has been held every other year since.
From relatively modest beginnings, it has become the most wide ranging Wargrave social drawing together the whole village community in two weeks of non stop activities, to which almost all organisations play their parts. For the Wargrave Out Of This World Village Festival this coming June there are 21 different Wargrave village societies, plus the central festival committee, making well over 100 people across the village, who are organising 47 separate events to the people of Wargrave between 12th and 30th June.

The hottest ticket from 2019 is returning for a bigger and better evening of gin tasting for our 2022 Summer of Love Festival. Come on an informal journey of gin discovery with a wide variety of specially selected artisan and premium gins from local, national and international producers.
Every guest will be given their own souvenir gin glass and 3 gin tokens and each festival gin will be paired with a perfect-serve mixer and matched garnish to savour and enjoy. Additional gin tokens can be purchased on the night and a bar will be available for soft and non-gin based drinks.
